Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a fiduciary and what does that mean?

Yes. A fiduciary has a legal and ethical obligation to act in your best interests.

Be sure to ask this of any potential advisor you might work with.

Do you wear a suit and tie?

No. Like you, I’m often trying to squeeze a work out in during my busy day so it’s either gym attire or a tee shirt. Sometimes a polo. Maybe a sports coat when I’m feeling fancy. But never a suit.

What is the CFP®?

CFP® is short for Certified Financial Planner®. In order to receive the CFP® certification, a financial planner must fulfill the education requirements, pass a comprehensive exam, meet the experience requirements and submit ongoing continuing education.

How do you get paid?

I’m a fee-only financial planner so I only receive compensation directly from financial planning or investment management fees paid by the client. Absolutely no commissions. It’s not perfect, but I feel it allows me to best work in the client’s best interest.

What if I’m not an online fitness coach or fitness entrepreneur?

Give me a buzz anyway. If we’re not a fit, I network with other advisors daily, and I can help guide you in the right direction.

Can we meet in person?

If you’re local to Massachusetts and I’m in town, then I’d love to meet in person for coffee or maybe a workout together. The reason I am virtual is so I can work with clients that I share values with rather than just a zip code, but I always love meeting face to face when possible.
