In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Kasey Jo Orvidas to discuss mindset and how it impacts your fitness and nutrition. Kasey shares how her background as a Ph.D. in Psychology has translated into both her fitness coaching and business coaching businesses. She defines what mindset is, the difference between a fixed and growth mindset, and how your beliefs can have a huge impact. We dive into some of the ways fitness coaches can use mindset as a coaching tool such as motivational interviewing, focusing on small wins, and digging deeper into their client's confidence levels for a task.

Kasey also created a Health Mindset Coaching Certification for other fitness and nutrition coaches to learn how to encourage a growth mindset and  apply the science of behavior change.
